Hazelle Hout
Hazelle taught herself to paint in her mid thirties. Since then, she has taken classes from artists she admires and has enjoyed painting on the Olympic Peninsula since 1995, when with her husband, Jerry she moved South to Port Angeles from Juneau, AK .
Many different media have caught her attention and she paints the visual field she plays in, sometimes with whimsey. She enjoys entering into the reality of the object, place or form and at other times, just gets into the flow of color, shape, and emotion of the moment.
By her early forties, Hazelle was selling regularly, and entering and winning shows. Her works can be found in public and private collections nationally and internationally.
